David Moore
Litigation - Senior Partner and Head of Department

David has a Degree in Physics from the University of Bristol. However the excitement of Cosmological Theory wore off, and he decided to take up a new career in law, qualifying as a Solicitor in 1979. David is a property litigator and practises mostly in relation to property disputes. In most cases these are Landlord and Tenant disputes but recently involved a multi million pound dispute over encroachment in respect of development land in London.

David is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Member of the Property Law Association.  The firm is a member of the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners. He is a qualified Solicitor Advocate and is authorised to appear before all of the Civil Courts in England and Wales (Solicitors are normally restricted to the County Courts). He has extensive experience of the Property Tribunal  (now known as the First Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) but previously known as the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal).

Besides property disputes David also deals with contentious probates, commercial contract disputes and debt collection and other areas of general litigation.

David Sutherland
Conveyancing - Partner and Head of Department

David studied law at the University of Wales Aberystwyth and attended the College of Law in York.  After training in Central London he joined Rodgers & Burton in 2002.  He has since become a Partner and now heads up the Conveyancing team and specialises in all aspects of Residential Property Law.

David has vast experience in buying and selling leasehold and freehold properties in London and elsewhere.  He has built up a good local reputation as an approachable and efficient lawyer over many years.  He has done this by being able to understand Property Law whilst imparting his advice clearly and always with his clients' best interests in mind.

David is married with two young daughters and his interests include cycling, skiing and generally keeping fit which his daughters ably assist him with.

Sanna Mir


Sanna Mir
Property - Partner and Head of Business Development

Sanna completed her Law degree at City University London and later attended the University of Law for her LPC. Sanna joined Rodgers & Burton in 2016 and is now a Partner and Head of Business Development.

Sanna specialises in various areas of Property Law and focuses on high end property in Central London and the surrounding areas. Her other work includes residential and commercial conveyancing, re-financing and leasehold matters including leasehold enfranchisement where she handles contentious and non-contentious matters.

She has a varied client base including high net worth individuals, developers and investors based in both the UK and internationally.

Philippa Addison
Residential Conveyancing - Consultant Solicitor

Philippa has a law degree from Leicester University and studied at the College of Law in Guildford.  She has practised in all areas of Property Law for over 26 years.  She worked at London firm Boodle Hatfield in the West End acting for individuals, developers and the large Estates.

Philippa has been with Rodgers & Burton for over 10 years and advises on all aspects of residential conveyancing and commercial property matters.  She is committed to providing high quality customer service and in meeting the individual needs of her clients.  She believes in good communication and offering a personal service, and ensures that clients are continually updated on all aspects of their matters.

Philippa lives locally and is married with three teenage children. Her interests include cooking, running, tennis and generally keeping fit.

Rhiannon Collinson
Residential and Commercial Conveyancing - Consultant Solicitor

Rhiannon has a law degree from Durham University. She qualified as a solicitor in 1990 and worked for Allen & Overy in the City for nine years specialising in commercial work and sales of businesses and shares.

Rhiannon has been a Consultant Solicitor with Rodgers & Burton since 2009. She advises on a full range of property matters including residential and commercial conveyancing. She also advises on new business leases and renewals under the Landlord & Tenant Acts, the sale and purchase of freeholds and lease extensions. Rhiannon also advises on the sale and purchase of businesses. 

She provides a comprehensive service including the drafting of wills for clients who have recently bought property. She also has experience of dealing with the Court of Protection and the Office of the Public Guardian in relation to Deputyships and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Rhiannon lives locally and is married with three teenage children.  She enjoys crosswords and keeping fit.

Richard Haigh 
Probate -
 Consultant (Non solicitor)

Richard has a law degree from Auckland University and has been a conveyancer and then a probate practitioner for the last 15 years in London.  He has extensive experience in drafting Wills and advising on minimising inheritance tax liability.  He is also familiar with Court of Protection applications and preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney and deeds of trust. Richard takes a pragmatic approach in dealing with HMRC ensuring that all inheritance tax accounts meet with HMRC’s compliance requirements in the cases of those deceased with foreign or local domiciles and arranging to vary Wills and intestate estates to minimise tax liabilities.

Richard lives locally and is prepared to make home visits where necessary.

Elizabeth Marrinan
Leasehold Enfranchisement - Consultant Solicitor

Elizabeth qualified as a solicitor after a successful career as General Manager of an International Brand Development and Design Company in London's West End.  Elizabeth studied law at the College of Law. Elizabeth also has a degree in French and Italian, a Masters of Business Administration and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.

Elizabeth works as a specialist solicitor in Leasehold Enfranchisement and has over 12 years experience in dealing with such matters.  She advises Lessees, Landlords and Intermediate Landlords on claims for Lease Extension, Purchases of Freeholds (Collective Enfranchisement), Right to Manage and Rights of First Refusal. 

Elizabeth has represented clients at Tribunal and at County Courts and also works closely with specialist valuers and barristers.  Rodgers & Burton is a member of ALEP the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners.

Elizabeth lives locally and is married with teenage children and enjoys dance in her spare time.

Deborah McCutcheon
Residential Conveyancing - Consultant Solicitor

Deborah has a law degree from Exeter University and spent 12 years, following qualification in 1978, working with a City firm (Turner Kenneth Brown) in their residential conveyancing department, which she ran for her last two years with the firm.

She joined Rodgers & Burton in 1994 where she has continued to specialise in residential conveyancing. Deborah aims to provide clients with a thorough and personal service, to be approachable and available and to keep her clients informed, and will handle all aspects of a transaction personally.  

Deborah lives locally and is married with two grown up daughters.  She enjoys playing tennis and golf in her spare time.

Julia Moore
Freehold Management - Legal Assistant 

Julia looks after the Freehold Management department at Rodgers & Burton and has worked in the legal profession for over 30 years. She has worked mainly in small firms where there is more personal contact with clients, which she particularly enjoys. She has been with Rodgers & Burton for over 14 years and previously with Ashbys of Barnes which was incorporated into Rodgers & Burton.

Julia is responsible for the management of freehold companies, dealing with the grant of new leases, licences, acting as company secretary for freehold companies and dealing with all company secretarial requirements in relation to freehold companies.

Julia believes in a detailed and thorough approach and provides an approachable and personal service which is tailored to each client's needs.

Samantha Stafrace 
Trainee Solicitor

Samantha studied Law at the University of Surrey and graduated in 2017 and then later BPP University in Holborn for her Masters and LPC.  Samantha joined Rodgers & Burton in January 2019 to undergo her training contract and is currently undertaking her first seat in Litigation.

Samantha has dealt with various contentious and non-contentious matters including possession orders, leasehold extensions, collective  enfranchisement claims and other general litigation.

Prior to joining Rodgers & Burton Samantha worked as a professional negligence paralegal at a firm in Surrey.

We are less than 10 minutes’ walk from Mortlake main line station.  Coming out of the station follow Sheen Lane up on the same side as the platform for trains going into Waterloo.  Vineyard Path is about 100 m on the right hand side.

If you are coming by car there is free parking in the area around the office after 11.00 am.

You may take a 209 bus from Hammersmith to Avondale Road.  There is a 200 m walk along Mortlake High Street and the offices are behind the Sorting Office.
